In case you don’t know, a blog is a turbocharged website. I frequently say …

A BLOG is 10-10-10

A blog is 10x cheaper than a traditional website to set up, 10x cheaper to maintain, and at least 10x more effective when it comes to being able to be found in search engines like Google, Youtube, and Yahoo.

I’ve seen churches pay $5,000 for a traditional website by some “expert” for something I could have created in 4-8 hours. I think to myself,”Is that being a good steward with godly resources?”

One of my passions is helping you share your stories with the world. And a blog is a cheap and easy way to do that. What makes you UNIQUE – different than anyone else in the world – is your STORY.

I’m passionate about teaching people to blog and use webinars for several reasons. One reason is because there is a huge VOID. Do you know that less than 10% of businesses, ministries, and churches have a STRATEGIC web presence. And yet the web is the #1 business tool of the 21st century.

If you check with most chambers of commerce, you’ll find that only about 50% of businesses, ministries, and churches have a website and most of those have traditional websites, which are basically like online brochures – not really interactive.

In sharp contract, a BLOG is highly interactive and can be made to automatically interface with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and more social media sites.

As you’ve heard me mention before, Ann Sieg, a highly successful internet marketer, says “Blogs are still the fastest, easiest and most reliable way to get free traffic online. A blog is the critical central HUB needed to make all your social media activity pay off. If content is king, then your blog is your castle!”

But perhaps the best reason to blog is that BLOGGING IS TRANSFORMATIONAL. Even if no one reads you’re blog, you will be transformed as you share authentic messages over time.

When preparing your presentation, make sure you have specific answers to these seven critical teleseminar interview questions.

1) WHY is [TOPIC] so important for our listeners to achieve greater success?

2) WHAT is [TOPIC] by definition?

3) HOW do your students typically get started with [TOPIC] on a step-by-step basis? [If you are going to give steps on how to get started, Alex recommends using 5-9 steps (7 +- 2)]

4) WHAT IF any of our listeners got started today with [TOPIC] – what would their life look like in say, 30 days? 90 days? 1 year? How about 3 years?

5) What are the specific ROADBLOCKS that typically prevent your students from getting started? [What are the roadblocks getting the way? Every door has a lock. Every lock has a key. Mention 3]

6) What are the specific STRATEGIES that are like keys to unlock “roadblock doors” to achieve WILD success? [Not just any success, but wild success. Each roadblock has a strategy to it.]

On Saturday evening October 18, I went to bed around 8:40 pm exhausted. After getting up at 11:45 pm to use the bathroom, I came back to bed. However, because I felt quite awake, I decided to listen to something on iTunes. The Holy Spirit led me to listen to Jeff Olson’s outstanding 31 minute introduction to his book, “The Slight Edge.”

For several years, Jeff was the owner of a company that was the biggest producer of personal development information in the world. He has a long track record of great successes. The next 4 paragraphs are an excerpt from Jeff’s teaching.

People who are successful take responsibility for their actions. As soon as you blame, you give up control, even if you are right. Successful people take responsibility for the decisions they make. Successful people do what unsuccessful people are unsuccessful people are unwilling to do. They live outside of their comfort zone. They live where opportunities are at.

If information and technology were the answer, there would be no problems – no financial problems, no health problems, no relationship problems. What makes information and technology work is when you put it in the right environment and associations. The quantum leap (get rich quick scheme) is not the answer. Doing the easy things day after day is. That’s The Slight Edge philosophy.
